As part of our latest remote reading project, we implemented Unimet PR IoT telemetry devices on large industrial flange scales. This installation includes two water meters located in the water meter shaft, which are connected to the Unimet PR device via pulse outputs. The device is equipped with an advanced logging function that collects data in 15-minute intervals, enabling precise reading of water consumption and flow in real time.
For data transmission, we used NBIoT technology, which ensures stable and reliable communication with remote reading points. All collected data is automatically sent to our IoT platform and metering application, where users can monitor water flow and consumption in detail. The application allows for comparison of consumption over different time periods, as well as monitoring of potential leaks or anomalies in the system. In addition, the platform provides the ability to receive alarm conditions, which helps users react quickly to any critical situations, thereby optimizing system management.
The Unimet PR device, with four pulse inputs, is also available in a LoRa WAN version, providing additional flexibility in the choice of technology for remote reading, depending on the specific needs of users and infrastructure. This project significantly improves the monitoring of water consumption in industrial environments, enabling full control over the operation of water meters and monitoring of key parameters in real time.
The Unimet PR device for remote reading of water meters is compatible with all types of water meters on the market (DN15 to DN400), regardless of the type and resolution of the pulse output, making it a universal solution for various applications.
